It was 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 8, that I realized I had worked through my company’s anniversary for its first full year in business—November 4, 2018. It’s been that kind of year. But I dare not ever get to the place where I don’t pause and thank God for His blessing of good work, for allowing me to excel and make a living with something I enjoy and am so passionate about.

This one-year mark is a big deal, and I am so VERY grateful.

God has taught me some tough lessons this year that I am still working through, and some that are leading to some changes for how I do business in year two. It should be that way, right? I mean, we should evolve closer to our ideal best, right? Well, that’s what I am aiming for.

I don’t have a whole lot to say, as my mind is currently occupied by the slew of projects I need to complete before the end of the year.

What I will stop and say is this:

Thank You, God, for establishing and securing my steps. Thank You for opening doors that no one can shut. Thank You for patiently teaching me how to do something I’ve never done before.

Thank you to all those who've wished well up close and from afar, and to those who've believed, encouraged, prayed, invested, and patronized

Thank you to the long-term authors and publishers who've put their trust in me to advise them and provide them with outstanding content. Your trust and belief keep me going.

Thank you to the editors, graphic designers, and typesetters who helped to put the finishing shine on several of the books we completed these twelve months. See what we've done here. I can’t say enough about what beautiful spirits you each have.

Looking forward into year two, I make this commitment to you and myself: It gets better from here.

“God is within her, she will not fail” (Psalm 46:5).
