EVERY WRITER has a story to tell, but navigating the writing and publishing process can feel overwhelming. You don’t have to go it alone. I help authors like you gain clarity, develop strategies, and make meaningful progress toward your literary goals.

With over two decades of experience as a literary agent and publishing professional, I’ve seen firsthand what it takes to create impactful stories that resonate with readers and publishers alike. Whether you’re refining your manuscript, preparing a proposal, or charting your publishing path, I’m here to help you move forward with confidence and purpose.

Literary Representation

Using my twenty years in the publishing industry as an editor, writer, and now literary agent for Embolden Literary, I support well-established authors and help them find their place in the market. Offering publishing career guidance, I serve as a literary agent who will work toward securing the best and most profitable deals for my authors. Capturing and honing that “it” book concept, assisting with the development of an outstanding book proposal, presenting and placing my authors with the right publishers, negotiating contracts, and liaising between the author and their publisher for the life of the relationship are how I serve my authors best.

Here are some kind words from authors...

Testimonials

Jevon has worked with some of the most talented and passionate authors and artists. Here's what some of them had to say about working with her through the writing and editorial process.

SARITA LYONS, JD, PHD

Speaker, ministry leader, and best-selling author of Church Girl

Jevon takes your mangled, unformed thoughts and brings them to paper in a way that is cohesive and exactly what your heart has been craving to communicate for so many years. Patient and wise, she listened to my heart, my ideas about my chapters, and my questions, all while managing my fears and concerns. Working with her has given me a lot of confidence to do the work that I was called to do.

Not only is Jevon an amazing agent, but she's also a writer and author. So she knows the deal, and her years of experience in the publishing world really give you a leg up because she's got the insider track on what publishers are looking for.

It is great working with her.

MICHELLE MCCLAIN WALTERS, PHD
International speaker and multi-book best-selling author of the Women’s Anointing books, The Esther Anointing and The Deborah Anointing

Jevon Bolden is a true literary genius. Working one-on-one with her has transformed my writing from good to exceptional, thanks to her personalized guidance that catered specifically to my unique voice and style.

Jevon brought a wealth of experience and insight to our sessions, creating a supernatural think tank where my ideas could truly flourish. I gained invaluable feedback and strategies that empowered me to write with confidence and authenticity.

Investing in my writing journey with Jevon Bolden has been a game changer. She has helped me become a best-selling author where my message is heard globally.

JOHN ONWUCHEKWA, PHD

Speaker and author, We Go On

As I think about my journey and the role Jevon Bolden has played in my trajectory as a writer and author, I see her in three ways.

Jevon has been a GPS. I have a general direction of where I want to go, and she has this ability to create the most efficient and clear pathway while explaining why other pathways aren’t the best for me.

She is an encourager. There have been countless times I’ve shared things I felt I couldn’t or shouldn’t do, and she reminds me that insecurity is not the same as impossibility. When I’ve been stuck, she’s pushed me through.

She is a sculptor. I bring her raw, unfinished ideas—stones in my mind—and she sculpts them into something beautiful, removing the excess that obscures the genius she sees in me.

And it’s not just me—I’ve seen her do this with so many others. I’m forever grateful to Jevon and believe she is truly one of one in this space.

LISA OSTEEN COMES

Associate pastor at Lakewood Church and author of It's on the Way

From the acknowledgments of It’s On the Way: “I am blessed to have worked with Jevon Bolden, a gifted word-smith, who helped make this book what it is.”

KARA DAVIS, MD

Doctor of Internal Medicine, and author of Spiritual Secrets to Weight Loss, Spiritual Secrets to a Healthy Heart, and Timeless

Jevon and I have worked together for several years now. One of the most amazing things about her is her ability to connect with the author, and not just the manuscript. I’m convinced this is how she brings out the best in every writer she works with. I find her to be professional, efficient and capable. And since writing is not my “day job,” I needed someone like Jevon, who is attentive and respectful of both my time as well as my other obligations.

CHERI CALBOM

“The Juice Lady,” TV chef, and celebrity nutritionist, and

leading authority on juicing for health and detoxification

Jevon is an excellent editor. She is both enjoyable and encouraging to work with and very professional as well. Her edits and creative additions are something I highly value for my manuscripts. I've worked with her for more than five years. She is one of the best editors I've had in my twenty plus career as a writer.

DELATORRO MCNEAL II

CEO/President, Delatorro Worldwide Empowerment, and author of Caught Between a Dream and Job

Jevon Bolden is awesome! She is a wonderful editor who really seeks to learn the author's voice and does a masterful job of maintaining it throughout the book edit. Jevon edited my brand new book entitled, Caught Between a Dream and a Job, How to Leave the 9 to 5 Behind, and Step Into the Life You've Always Wanted. She made me feel extremely comfortable with the entire process, provided excellent recommendations and changes, and helped me take my work to the next level. She is extremely professional and personable as well, which is very refreshing. I love her dearly and highly recommend her for your next success project.
