Thank you so much, Jevon Bolden. Your presentation really encouraged and blessed me. I appreciate you so much. I’m one that use to write very simple lyrics, songs, musicals, [and] operettas from books my young students would read. [I did this] for years never EVER thinking that I had anything worthy of publishing. The kids enjoyed it and I was happy. Not sure what I’m going to write but very sure that I WILL [WRITE] and that’s a HUGE step for me. I’m so happy that I participated today. Blessings to you and thank you again so much. I will read your book ASAP.

Thank you for helping to organize my thoughts enough on which type of book the Lord’s wanting to write through me! I’m a newborn writer....You and the others really stirred me today. I really feel emboldened! No pun intended 😊....May you be blessed beyond measure for all your help!

Hello, Jevon Bolden. You were a tremendous blessing to my wife and I during the challenge. I’m well over a 1,000 words now, and I’m so excited! Thanks for all you poured into us.

Listening to your teaching has showed me what direction I need and how to write my story. Thanks for your teaching. You are a blessing.
— Arnette B., Faebook
I’m encouraged by her complete session. So many nuggets. When she said books take time to mature and it’s all about God’s timing and not ours. I almost fell out of my chair. Before this challenge I thought at 45 years old I had missed my chance. The way she broke down the difference between a memoir and nonfiction made writing and finishing so much more understandable. Jevon Bolden, thank you, my beautiful sister!

It was very informative. Learnt a lot from her. She was very fluent, precise and to the point on her wisdom. Awesome webinar!

Listen she reminds me of the style of Maya Angelou. Speaks clearly and invited us into an atmosphere that felt like it was one to one. It’s important to write from a position of order. We do not want to bring confusion into a person’s life. “We” in place of “you.” We do not want to sound accusatory. Just to name a few [nuggets I took from her session].

Love her grace and compassion, in addition to amazing professional advice!

I loved how she explained the basics of what an editor does and how to prepare for one in a concise manner. She made it seem less tangled and more clear!!! She has packed so much wisdom into her sessions. Thankful!

She was amazing! I was so encouraged by spirit of excellence. I could clearly feel her compassion about wanting us to be passionate and professional authors. I was consumed by her words of wisdom! Jevon explained the importance and the examples of writing with empathy and compassion. Generous! She encouraged us to use not to make people feel bad, but rather encouraged them to go from a low place to a place of deliverance, give the readers hope. She pushed me! I’m too excited!

Great session. Casual, yet informative and encouraging. Editors were challenged to take up the responsibility to stay woke—well-informed and up-to-date on social, political, and cultural issues. Great interaction with audience. The speaker gave chocolate to everyone!
